Painted Paper Weaving

Did you know that you can weave with paper? It’s also a fiber, just like yarn! In this class we will explore painting and weaving with watercolor on paper. Students will learn to trust an experimental art-making process, where their paintings are cut into strips and transformed through the structure of weaving! Over the semester, students will experiment with this woven-painted form in order to create a final series of 4 seasonal weavings, reflecting winter, spring, summer, and fall.
